With LABCON2012 behind us and the summer coming too quickly to an end, our thoughts are slowly drifting to September and autumn…

Generally thought of as a time of endings, we view it more as a time of beginnings. A new school year begins, a new wave of CSMLS courses begins, and best of all, a new Journal is delivered to our doors.

With this thought in mind, we would like to pose a couple of
questions to you, the Ontario CSMLS members:

1. What was your favourite journal article?  Was it a scientific
   report or a soft skills piece?  Why is it your favourite?  Post a comment and let us know.
2. What was your least favourite article?  Has there been anything
   written in the journal that you don’t agree with? Why not take the time to let CSMLS know how you feel.
3. What would you like to see in the journal?  Are there any topics that you feel have been missed?  Is there something you are working on that you feel the entire CSMLS membership should know about?

CSMLS is celebrating its 75^th milestone in 2012.  To recognize this special anniversary, CSMLS wants to send 14 lucky winners to LABCON2012 being held June 2^nd – 4^th in Gatineau, Quebec.  This includes your transportation, accommodation and conference registration fees.  That’s an estimated total value of over $1,500!

Welcome everyone to the Provincial Celebration Blog!

Hi everyone!  My name is Rosita and I’ll be moderating the Provincial Celebration Blog.  I’m looking forward to seeing all the ideas, plans, photos and events as they unfold over the course of 2012.

Be engaged and get involved!  Don’t hesitate to ask, I’m here to help. I encourage you all to leave comments that will encourage discussions online. The CSMLS 75^th anniversary micro-site has been developed as an avenue to share your memories, stories and photos to help recognize how the medical laboratory profession has evolved over all these years.  And continues to evolve!

I look forward to reading all the blog entries and comments to see how each province will be putting its own unique touch on celebrating and honoring the 75^th anniversary of CSMLS in 2012.
