I want to remind everyone that the deadline for entries of a FREE CAKE PARTY for National Medical Laboratory 
Week 2012 (NMLW) is fast approaching.
The deadline for entries is March 31, 2012.
I have tried to reach as many CSMLS members as possible but I may have missed some of you. It is not too late to enter, just send me an email at Deydey@siast.sk.ca.

Celebrate Saskatchewan – Update

Happy New Year Saskatchewan CSMLS members!
2012 is here and the 75th anniversary celebrations are in progress. I am in the midst of facilitating the distribution of “syringe” pens to all members along with a letter outlining the celebratory plans. I may be calling on you to assist me in distribution of the letter and pens.
Below are a few more updates of what has been planned so far.
I have allocated funding so that at least one facility in each region will have a CSMLS sponsored cake party the week of NMLW, April 22 – 28. These cake parties will be distributed based on entries and a lottery system.
The CSMLS celebration in conjunction with the SSMLT Fall Conference will be held in Saskatoon, October 11 – 13. I am organizing a “Murder Mystery” dinner on Friday October 12 in the evening. This event will be open to all delegates but CSMLS members will be able to purchase their tickets at a reduced price.
On Saturday October 13, the Fall Conference will be held at the SIAST Kelsey campus based on a Reunion Theme. This will allow delegates to tour the facility and review old photographs; you never know you could be in one! We are also planning several workshops during the day to facilitate continuing education.

Hi everyone! My name is Rosita and I’ll be moderating the Provincial Celebration Blog. I’m looking forward to seeing all the ideas, plans, photos and events as they unfold over the course of 2012.
Be engaged and get involved! Don’t hesitate to ask, I’m here to help. I encourage you all to leave comments that will encourage discussions online. The CSMLS 75th anniversary micro-site has been developed as an avenue to share your memories, stories and photos to help recognize how the medical laboratory profession has evolved over all these years. And continues to evolve!
I look forward to reading all the blog entries and comments to see how each province will be putting its own unique touch on celebrating and honoring the 75th anniversary of CSMLS in 2012.
